Rock Bridge Venues

I was requested to take new photos of the Rock Bridge Venues for a new Rock Bridge website that will launch in the next few weeks. Here are my favorite shots from the project.

I wanted to do my best to balance the interior and exterior light so the buildings had a bright and welcoming feeling. This meant arriving at each site before sunrise and running around to turn all the lights on then find the best composition for each shot. At any given site I had a window of about 5-10 minutes to get the right light and shot. Thankfully the weather cooperated and I was a to get some sharp shots.

I use the sunrise/sunset app to help my determine the best time to arrive. I have found that half way between civil twilight and sunrise to be about the balancing point to make these shots.

J+S House Photos

Joseph and Sierra built a beautiful house. They asked me to take some shots before they moved in. Saturday morning I arrived before the sun came up. Ran around the house and turned on every light switch I could. I wanted balance the interior and exterior light the best I could. In addition to all the interior lights being on, I wanted to see what kind of reflection I could get of the house on their pond. Here are my favorite shots.

The horizontal spacing we used was 16″. We had 3 sets of 10 strings.
